Katy Elizabeth Mixon (born March 30, 1981 in Pensacola, Florida) is an American actress. She attended Carnegie Mellon University's School Of Drama in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mixon performed as a member of the acting company at the Tony-Award Winning "Utah Shakespearean Festival" in Cedar City, Utah in 2000 before moving to Los Angeles in 2003. Mixon also performs at Upright Cabaret.

Katy Mixon might be a born and bred Southern belle, but she has an ample streak of on-screen sassiness to go along with her innate hospitality. Besides making eyes at Elisha Cuthbert in The Quiet, she memorably mixed kisses and slaps in the same scene with on-screen hubby Jon Favreau in Four Christmases. Purists should take note, however, that Katy Mixon reportedly hired the services of a body double for her nude scene in Eastbound & Down. We suppose that this is just her way of leaving more to the imagination.Because of her shooting schedule for Eastbound & Down, Katy Mixon spends a lot of time living in Wilmington, North Carolina. Not exactly a Hollywood haven, Katy Mixon makes due with her surroundings by living in a beachfront house and enjoying regular shopping sprees. A highly trained actress and all-around natural beauty, Katy Mixon is just now making herself known to audiences as a regular on HBO's Eastbound & Down. In order to get there, she survived two failed TV pilots and a short film called Zombie Prom that starred none other than RuPaul. Not strictly a small-screen actress, Katy Mixon went the white-trash wife route in Four Christmases, appeared in the Russell Crowe-led State of Play, and will learn All About Steve alongside Sandra Bullock. She's also a regular stage performer at West Hollywood's Upright Cabaret. We've already made our reservations.What's the most challenging thing for Katy Mixon on her hit TV series? Playing it straight, of course. On a show starring Danny McBride and produced by Will Ferrell, the laughs are plentiful, which makes it even more difficult to keep one's composure during filming.
